OUR HISTORY: FGHSS TIMELINE

FFC Grammar Higher Secondary School (FGHSS) represents over four decades of educational excellence in the FFC Township, Goth Machhi.

1981 School Planning Begins
The journey began with the first meeting of the School Management Committee, convened to establish a modern educational facility for the children of FFC employees and the surrounding community.
Foundation & Planning
June 1982 FFC Model School Inaugurated
FFC Model School was inaugurated by Maj Gen (Retd.) Rao Farman Ali, then Managing Director of FFC. Under the pioneering leadership of Principal Maj (Retd.) Muhammad Bashir, the school commenced operations as a middle school and began expanding its academic scope.
Board Campus Origins (Formerly FFC Model School)
1987 Affiliation with BISE Bahawalpur
The institution attained affiliation with the Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education (BISE), Bahawalpur, strengthening the Board stream and formal recognition of academic progression.
Board Stream Milestone
1996 FFC Educational Society (FES) Established
With the establishment of the FFC Educational Society (FES), a new chapter began, paving the way for the introduction of the Cambridge International education system.
Institutional Expansion
1996 FFC Grammar School Founded (Cambridge Stream Introduced)
FFC Grammar School was founded to introduce the Cambridge International education system.

2003 Cambridge O-Level Launched

The school launched the Cambridge A-Level programme, completing the Cambridge stream progression.

2025 Historic Merger: Unified as FGHSS
Both institutions were formally merged under a unified academic and administrative framework to form FFC Grammar Higher Secondary School (FGHSS):

FFC Grammar Higher Secondary School (FGHSS) embodies over four decades of sustained educational excellence within the FFC Township at Goth Machhi. The journey of this distinguished institution began in 1981 with the first meeting of the School Management Committee, convened to establish a modern educational facility for the children of FFC employees and the surrounding community. The vision took practical shape in June 1982 with the inauguration of FFC Model School by Maj Gen (Retd.) Rao Farman Ali, then Managing Director of FFC. Under the pioneering leadership of Principal Maj (Retd.) Muhammad Bashir, the school commenced operations as a middle school and steadily expanded its academic scope. By 1987, it attained affiliation with the Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education, Bahawalpur. In 1996, with the establishment of the FFC Educational Society (FES), a new chapter began with the foundation of FFC Grammar School, introducing the Cambridge International education system. Under the chairmanship of Mr. Abdul Waheed Sheikh and the founding leadership of Principal Mr. Afaq Ahmad Zaidi, the school launched Cambridge O-Level in 2003 and A-Level in 2007. In 2025, both institutions were formally merged under a unified academic and administrative framework to form: FFC Grammar Higher Secondary School (FGHSS) with: • Cambridge Campus (formerly FFC Grammar School) • Board Campus (formerly FFC Model School) Today, FGHSS proudly stands as one of the most prominent educational institutions in District Rahim Yar Khan, offering both Board and Cambridge streams under one integrated system.

FGHSS is situated in the centrally developed and secure FFC Residential Township, Goth Machhi. The school enjoys convenient access from the KLP Road (N-5) as well as the internal FFC link roads. Its well-planned residential surroundings provide a safe, serene, and well-equipped environment conducive to academic learning, co-curricular growth, and outdoor activities.

FGHSS serves the educational needs of both the FFC community and the wider population of District Rahim Yar Khan. The institution offers a comprehensive academic pathway including: Matriculation (SSC & HSSC); Cambridge O-Level & A-Level; Pre-School to Higher Secondary Education. With two campuses and multiple academic streams, FGHSS ensures smooth educational continuity from early childhood to higher secondary qualifications.

The school functions under the supervision of the FFC Educational Society (FES) and the FFC Management. A centrally appointed Director provides strategic leadership, overseeing academic quality, policy implementation, and institutional development. Each campus maintains its own dedicated administrative teams, academic coordinators, and highly qualified teaching faculty.
